Pretty comfortable on its own but an accent pillow will definitely help your back out. It’s not creaky like the rocking chairs you see in horror films, so I’d say it’s pretty quiet when you’re using it lol. The only issue I had was putting the middle support bar between the legs during assembly, but a few taps from a hammer solved that issue pretty quickly.
