The "auto sleep" function when set worked well. This iPad case matched with the JTech Screen protector fit nicely to over all protect my 11" iPad Pro (M2) from the bumps/ movement of daily use. Using my Anker Dock, the case dimensions sets in the dock bracket perfectly as well as my iPad stand that I use when traveling. This case provides other innovations - pencil holder that allows you "slide" the Apple pencil off the charging point slightly, yet hold the pencil firmly when the Pad wants to do acrobatics. The functions buttons ridges protect from accidental use. The "slide flat" stand allows for setting on the Deck dock or for my fold flat travel stand. When the cases stand is engaged, it is the perfect hand hold - when I take notes during "Hallway Meetings". The stand is wide enough to hold in either hand comfortably. The Amazon description is accurate of the case material - Hard PVC and TPU.
