## Description

All window manufacturers hand their product as viewed from exterior. If hinge is on left from exterior: left hand window unit. If hinge is on right from exterior: right hand window unit. An easy way to hand windows from the inside (where we are most of the time) is to look at what side the lock is on for the window that needs the new operator. If the lock is on the left from the inside then the hinge is on the left from exterior and it is a left hand window unit. If lock is on the right from inside then the hinge is on the right from the exterior and it is a right hand window unit.

A: It is not, 0565616 has the shoe on the end of the arm mounted underneath. This operator has shoe mounted on top. For 0565616 search Amazon for: b00079rdrm.

**Q: need to replace andersen window system #7191-8. it is a split arm /  will unit1361308 work ?**
A: Check the numbers on your present system and get exactly the same thing. Andersen is tricky as they make you buy their exact replacement as other brands won't work.

**Q: Do you sell the same operator for right hand**
A: Yes, of course. they sell the SAO in both right and left-handed models.

**Q: I need one from 1974-1995. is this compatible?**
A: Remove the broken one.  Measure it.  Set it next to your computer while you look on Amazon for a new one.  Remember that they come in left and right and different lengths.  Left hand has the crank on the right.  You may need to remove and replace some trim to get at it.

I installed this and I window due to the old one that was installed with the original window in 1979 becoming defective. The new one was made of high-quality materials worked extremely well. It’s been in my house for three years. The window is not open and closed frequently. However, there in zero issues with the item. I would purchase again.
