A: I've had wet and moist things on it for periods of time and haven't had any issues. There is some kind of a sealer on it.

A: Under any hypothesis! It is a beautiful tray, not a cutting board, it comes with a beautiful polish, which certainly had not resisted in its beauty to the use of sharp objects.
