Review: Best ever - This is the best deshedding brush for my cats I’ve ever found. So easy use and the cats love it. Is removes SO much loose hair so effortlessly!! Leaves kitty’s fur soft and shining. They shed pretty much all year being indoor, but clearly more in spring and fall. Works on my 3 short haired cats and especially the one chonk who can’t clean her back area the best. Easily got rid of all the loose hair. I also have a senior Maine Coon and she did not really like this, but she’s a finicky princess. Her long hair is so fine, that this didn’t work as well, but it’s amazing for the others. Just get one! Review: Works Shockingly Well, Even on a Heavy Shedder! - I bought this during the summer after seeing it go viral and figured it would be another “either it works or it doesn’t” pet tool... kind of like those grooming gloves that claim to make fur roll up magically (they definitely don’t). But this brush actually works in the best way. I used it on my pug, who sheds nonstop and usually hates grooming. Wire brushes? She runs. Nail trims? Forget it. Even touching her feet or nose is a battle. But with this tool she literally comes running over and sits with her back turned, ready for grooming. That alone sells it. As for performance, it pulls out a ton of loose fur from her undercoat. I could probably brush her for hours and still have more coming off, but even brief sessions remove a surprising amount. It doesn’t scrape or irritate her skin, just smoothly lifts out all the loose hair that would normally end up on my floors, clothes, furniture... everywhere. If you have a dog who sheds heavily and hates traditional brushes, this thing is absolutely worth it. Super simple, super effective, and apparently pug-approved. It's a wood block with a fine took saw blade on it, but don't be alarmed by the look it works.

**Q: Will the blade part get dull over time?  Using it every day on my Chihuahua's?**
A: so far, the blade hasn't gotten dull and I use it often. I got it about 6 months ago.

**Q: Can it be used on the chest and belly?**
A: Absolutely! The teeth on the EquiGroomer’s blade are very short so it’s perfectly safe to use anywhere on your pet’s body, even sensitive areas like their belly, chest, even paws! The teeth are designed to remove dead hair without ever touching the skin.

**Q: Does it work for maltease or poddle type of dog?**
A: Thanks for the question! The EquiGroomer was designed to remove dead, unwanted hair from an animal's coat so although a Maltese or Poodle doesn't shed like most dogs, they do lose hair and get a buildup of dust and dander in their coats. The EquiGroomer will do a nice job at removing that which will really bring out the shine in their coats.

**Q: I have the furminator and my cat hates it!  is this a better option?  although i try to be extremely gentle, i feel as though this is just too much.**
A: We believe it's a better option for a number of reasons. Your cat most likely dislikes the Furminator for a number of reasons: 1) the long tines pull on both her fur and skin which is uncomfortable and makes her feel trapped; 2) the tines may be scratching her skin which is also very uncomfortable; 3) the hairs may be getting caught between the tines which could lead to them being cut or pulled out.

The EquiGroomer was designed to remove loose, dead hair from the top not the bottom so as you run it over her coat, she'll just think she's being pet. Each tooth on the EquiGroomer's blade has a tiny barb at its end which snags dry, scaly hair and leaves healthy hair behind so you'll never have to worry about taking out too much or damaging the coat in any way. When there's no more dead hair to remove, the EquiGroomer stops working. Daily use will not only keep your cat's coat in excellent condition, but will help reduce hairballs and dust bunnies! It does a great job on long-haired cats and dogs too.

When you first start using the EquiGroomer, it may take a bit of time for your cat to realize that grooming is not stressful anymore but we guarantee that within a short period of time she'll actually look forward to it. In fact, she may even show you her appreciation by purring.

I’m not one to leave reviews most of the time but this brush is an absolute game changer. My cat is 17.5 years old and isn’t grooming herself as well as she used to. The problem is that she absolutely hates being brushed and I have to give her a secondary brush to attack to get it done. Even then I can only do it for a minute or two. I got this brush after watching TGWTD grooming videos and decided to give it a try. IT ACTUALLY WORKS SO GOOD! It has done a great job effectively removing tangles, shedding and dandruff. On top of how well it works, my finicky girl let me brush her for a full hour! And she fell asleep and purred. Her coat is so soft and smooth. Pictured is the third ball of hair from our most recent session.
