Many products I've seen package the Chinese "sourced" pea protein.** A: According to their community forum (Jan 2020), Naked Pea is still processed is China. Another Amazon brand, NorCal Organic, has pea protein grown in Canada, processed and packaged in the USA. **Q: Is this company still processing it's pea protein in china? i would like to buy it when this changes to north america. thanks!** A: Here was the response I received. Hello Diane, The peas are shipped to Asia because they are primarily used in making noodles. The pea protein is a byproduct of this process and the demand for the noodle material is much higher than the protein in Asia. Our protein is tested at least 3 times before it is ever packaged so are very confident in its quality. Please let us know if you have any other questions Have a great day! **Q: Can anyone tell me about the likelihood of this product containing a high level of heavy metals? I have read a lot about brown rice having that.** A: It's 100% pea protein, not brown rice. **Q: The label says there is 15mg of Cholesterol per serving! Where is the Cholesterol coming from?** A: I contacted Naked Nutrition directly. They responded stating that the first labels were imprinted incorrectly. The new labels have been changed to show zero cholesterol. There is only one ingredient in their pea protein and that is peas. It is vegan. Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buena opción, el sabor está bien, buen producto. *by on Reviewed in Mexico May 7, 2025* La proteína esta bien, con calidad. Es problema es que tardó dos semanas en llegar. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Never much cared for eating peas... *by on Reviewed in the United States October 1, 2026* It's pea protein. It's made from peas. It doesn't have an awful or nasty taste (at least not to me) -- it tastes what I'd imagine a whole lot of peas would taste like without any form of seasoning. However, with that said, it was a bit tricky to get it to not overpower my protein drinks where I was using DIY simple syrup. The trick? Nesquick or Ovaltine with Naked PB or straight ol' fashioned peanut butter (if I need the extra calories).I use a half-serving because I found it to be a bit chalky with a full-serving. I use an immersion blender so I don't have to worry about the consistency of the overall beverage. It doesn't seem to add any significant dissolvability issues or too-thick-to-drink at this ratio.I would say this protein supplement is worth the money because I still get a quality plant protein source that helps stretch my whey protein supplement as well. Also, I never liked eating peas growing up but drinking them in this form is absolute a-okay with me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Taste *by on Reviewed in Canada April 30, 2026* Not here to talk about how healthy or good it is but let me tell you one thing that the plain one doesn't taste good at all. Since it's made out of raw peas, the taste and smell is raw as well. I tried with Plain water as well as with ABC juice but couldn't take it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Naked Pea - Pea Protein Isolate - Plant Based, Vegetarian & Vegan Protein.
