Definitely not as sticky as traditional gel. Think slippery not sticky. But if your hair is just a little damp or wet it combs in beautifully. It dries beautifully just like gel leaving hair thick and firm. If you start with dry hair and comb in just a little gel it dries thick but not firm... A thick relaxed look. If you comb more into wet hair it dries firm with maximum hold. Unlike traditional gel it dries without any plasticy shine.
