This 4 tier wooden bookshelf is perfect for organizing kids books! The assembly did take some elbow grease but was straightforward, and instructions were simple and easy to follow. As mentioned in the instructions, it's important to make sure you don't completely tighten all of the screws until the very end. It does come with the tools needed to put it together, but if you have your own screwdriver then I definitely suggest using it. The wood is sanded smooth, there are no rough spots or splinters and I like that the corners are rounded. It's quite heavy once assembled and though I'm not worried about it tipping, it does come with anchors to secure it to the wall for extra safety. The shelves have space to fit multiple books in front of each other (depending on book thickness). It's been a great way to display our books (we do a book rotation) and I find that the kids are asking to read them more often now that they can see the covers instead of just the spines.
