I run my TV through the speaker which is positioned across the room so as to minimize volume. Unfortunately Samsungs Smart TVs don't seem to give you control of the volume for (outgoing) speakers or sound bars that are not attached to the TV (and perhaps it doesn't work even if they are attached). Anyways, one small design flaw is that the remote control battery compartment is quite difficult to open. I tried using my thumb nail, a coin, and a screwdriver, and the groove just doesn't have depth to make opening easy , so it tore up the thin plastic surrounding the groove. However, I contacted customer support and ask them if they had a replacement remote control, and not only did they send me a new remote control, but they also sent me a whole new speaker. I think it was through accident, but when I let them know and asked if they wanted it shipped back, they said don't bother, and told me to keep the second speaker!
