Just can't compare! *by E***G on Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2020* Wow, this is my second bag of Vienna Roast Private Reserve whole bean coffee. The first one was a gift from a friend of mine who actually visited the coffee farm in Hawaii. I eventually settled on blending it with others to mellow out the intense terroir, and truly, to maximize it's value for the money since it's pretty pricey. So I found a 40/40/20 blend works well for me, where 40% is a breakfast blend, 40% a dark French roast, and 20% this Hawaiian coffee. I will probably put this on a Subscribe & Save if offered because I know the first bag lasted me a full four months. And finally the difference between the private reserve, and non-private was subtle, and I'm not sure I have noticed it yet. What was pretty evident was that after grinding it, I noticed the private reserve is a lot less sawdust-y. Sadly, the one I got as a gift had that unfortunate characteristic. Now I'm not saying that's a bad thing, since I don't really know.
