The screw holes are behind the plug to mount the box. You have knockouts on the sides, top and bottom to run your wire. You can use conduit to protect the wire from the elements and the cover closed and locks to protect your plug. **Q: Do those have slotted knock out plugs for the 240 vac circuit and wires in to the electrical plug?** A: The knock-out plugs are not slotted and are barely punched into the metal. The only way to knock the plugs out is to drill the needed holes. This is a horrible plug and I would not advise buying it. There is not enough room to bend the wires behind the plug and the terminals will not fit #6 wire needed to feed 50A. I threw mine away and bought one from Home Depot, which I installed in about 15 minutes. **Q: Is it made of steel, and if so, what gauge is it?** A: It is made of steel. Thought to be around 12 gauge. Need a knock out tool to knock out the knock outs. **Q: Includes the receptacle?** A: Dear Customer Yes, the receptacle includes. And we upgrade the power box, there are 3 Pre-Drilled holes and “knockout” holes for 1/2”, 3/4”, and 1” conduit. You can choose the suitable hole for your need.
