The old winch was shot but I had the mounting brackets. I bought a new steel plate to reinforce the connection and drilled some new holes for mounting. I have pulled up 4 vehicles all of which had badly rusted wheels to the point they didn't roll. I drug those vehicles up onto the trailer with this winch. Yes, I had to give it a rest quite a few times, but it did the job eventually. I also pulled up a 12,000 lb tractor. I do have two heavy duty deep cell batteries hooked together as the power supply.
