Review: Thin and stiff - This came in spot on at 1.3mm thick It has a matte looking finish. A couple of scuffs but only cosmetic...and it's going in my shoe, it's not going to look pretty for long. It's also very light weight but that's to be expected. The insert does flex under weight, but it does require a bit of force to do it. My toes don't apply enough force to do accomplish that. I'm not experienced with carbon fiber so I don't know if this normal. But whether or not that's normal, it still does the job of supporting my toes. My only complaint is that it is on the narrow side. I can feel the edge dig into my feet a little bit on either side.

They are designed to make the shoes stiff if you have a foot injury. They are actual carbon fiber, so trimming them isn't going to be easily done either. These materials are very hard; they don’t bend. They can be used for post-operation recovery to prevent your foot from bending. They are smooth, without sharp edges.
