This has been paired with an ethically sourced large Scallop Shell from the waters around Britain, to be used to collect the ash during your smudging ceremonies and to hold the smudge stick until your next session. Please Note: Scallop Shells naturally vary in colour, from beautiful pure white with pearlescent interior, to full colour pattern as seen in pictures. We chose to put this set together with a large Scallop Shell sourced off the shores of the UK, instead of the more usual Abalone shell, as we cannot be sure these are ethically sourced, plus the carbon footprint of shipping them to the UK is considerable. Smudging is a spiritual practise, and we strive to keep the spirit of this intact. All of our packaging is paper based and recyclable, and the product itself is entirely made from organic material. Smudge sticks burn best when completely dry. We recommend storing your smudging stick in a warm, dry area. Garden sheds are great for keeping smudge sticks cracker dry. We also recommend burning these outdoors if smudging yourself, where there is plenty of oxygen to keep the smudge smouldering, and allow the smoke to lightly envelope you.
