I cut it a little more than shoulder length, so the crimping took a total of maybe 3-4 hours. This wig is very good with crimping and looked very nice and natural once I was finished. I styled it and applied chalk pastels to the roots and ends of the fibers, and with a few layers, it adhered very nicely. I wore my completed wig to a con, and it stayed comfortable and styled. Very nice wig, I say to make the investment if you wish. It fit well, the original length was as advertised, and it was sturdy enough to endure bag storage and a hectic convention.
