While it is 220v and pulls 40amps when heating, I do get a significantly higher temperature rise and I am not required to run my pump or heater 24/7 as I can raise the pools temperature by 20 degrees in just a few hours. I installed this heat pump on an 8’ stock tank. This tank is roughly 600gallons (way below rated water capacity for this heat pump). Initially I was unable to get any temperature rise out of the heat pump so I added valves to the inlet and outlet on the heater to throttle water flow and even then I am only able to get a maximum of a 3 degree rise. The data plate states RLA as 7 amps and some change but I am reading 9-10amps.
