Product description MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer is an architectural grade, silane/siloxane blended product that bonds with the minerals in concrete and masonry to provide long-lasting water repellency. It is ideally suited for concrete where maximum chloride ion (de-icing salts) protection is needed. MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer is a breathable, non-film forming, concrete sealer that will not alter surface color or appearance. MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer protects most horizontal, exterior, above-grade concrete surfaces. Product is suitable for use on residential driveways, patios, or sidewalks. Natural substrate color and surface textures are unaffected with little or no gloss created. Slight darkening may occur on dense surfaces. Testing is recommended before treating any surface to ensure desired results. This product is designed to protect concrete driveways, sidewalks, and patios once they have been properly cleaned with MasonryDefender All Purpose Masonry & Concrete Cleaner. 1 Gallon MasonryDefender Concrete Driveway Sealer Our 1 gallon of Concrete Driveway Sealer can cover a range from 90-150 sq. ft. per gallon depending on surface porosity. How To Apply The Concrete Sealer Please make sure that the air and driveway temperature is a minimum of 40°F and a maximum of 100°F for three hours following application. Once your surface is free and clear of any dirt and debris, use a low pressure pump-up garden sprayer to apply a thin, even layer. The use of a sprayer will allow you to evenly coat your driveway. The surface should remain wet for 2-3 minutes before final absorption. Avoid puddling or ponding; brush or broom to spread material until the sealer thoroughly penetrates the surface. Surface will be dry in 2-6 hours, depending on temperature and humidity. Allow 24 hours before driving on surface.

After applying this Silane Siloxane-based sealer, the difference has been remarkable. After application, I noticed that water now beads up and rolls off the surface, even with the heavy, consistent rains we get here. Review: Impressive results that last - I am going on the third year after treatment of my driveway and I am very pleased to report the protection is still there and has made a remarkable difference. I have a long fibre-crete driveway in SC. The summers are long and hot and there is intermittent rain. The finish job on my concrete was never pretty to begin with so the surface is rougher than I would have liked which leads to shading and surface inconsistencies, pockets for water to collect which leads to mold growth and dirt collection. Not great. I decided to seal a bunch of test areas on the driveway to see if that would help. I applied 5 gallons of this product 2 summers ago. I stuck to doing entire driveway squares so it wouldn't look ridiculous. Now going on my 3rd year you can still see the marked difference in the way that the treated squares of concrete repel dirt and mold due to accumulating water. The photos I included show the difference between treated and untreated areas. Keep in mind my concrete has always looked very shaded due to the way it was finished in the first place so don't judge the results by this ugly shading -that's just part of my concrete. This product didn't cause any additional shading. If anything, it lessened the visual impact of the original shading in the concrete. For sure every square that I have treated is much whiter and cleaner looking than the untreated squares. More like what it looked like immediately following the power washing that I did prior to application 2 years ago. I will treat the remaining squares this year and then reseal the original test squares. Great product.

**Q: Can this product go over another brand of sealer?**
A: I did and have seen no negative effects, but I have been disappointed in the product in that rain does not bead up as on other dealers.

**Q: Does this prevent berries and leaves from staining the concrete?**
A: The concrete driveway sealer is designed to prevent long term deterioration from water damage and de-icing salts. It prevents water from from penetrating the concrete while allowing the concrete to breathe. Like any surface it is important to clean up sources of possible stains to prevent discoloration

**Q: is this sold in local big box stores?**
A: No. Only from the web.

**Q: I applied this to my concrete patio last year. Can I apply it again this year without stripping the previous coat off (I will power wash first)?**
A: I have in the past applied the year after the initial coat.  It seemed to work well.  I would not use a power washer, however, since that might strip the previous year's coat.

Seems to work really well. I used a $15 1-gallon weed sprayer to apply it to my shed slab. Now water beads up and runs off, so the slab is well protected. It recommends re-applying (I think) once a year. That’s cheap insurance to maximize the life of your concrete with the ridiculous prices they charge for concrete these days (way over priced, like everything is now).
