Review: Great first line of defense - I would suggest these to anyone that has a wood stove in their house, we have an approximate 40 foot brick chimney on the outside of our house I religiously sweep the chimney before the heating season but when We went on vacation for a week in the winter and when we came back and I relit the stove using paper and Kindling The chimney itself ignited with a bit of a smudge fire which could only be seen from outside when I threw the box into the stove it seemed to immediately extinguish the chimney fire and allow my blood pressure to go back to normal! I Immediately re-ordered two more of the extinguishers and gave myself peace of mind. Thank you Meeco for quite possibly saving my house!

You know----I haven't had the opportunity to use this yet---and hope that I never do. If this will douse a chimney fire as advertised it will be worth a hundred times what I paid for it---and that feeling of security alone is worth the price, From a practical standpoint---what else are you going to do to put out a chimney fire? What could be easier then throwing this package into the fireplace or wood burning stove?
