I do turn the tap off and empty the water in it before taking it back to the tap to disconnect it as I ripped a previous one when it caught on a garden ornament when still full of water and it ripped it open. I am very careful now that it doesn’t catch on anything. Value for money? the previous one was bought from a local supermarket and wasn’t as expensive but as they’re seasonal products so they don’t stock them this late into the summer. Review: Broke in less than 2 months. - Very poor quality. Initially this didn't bother me as this is a low cost hose so didnt expect anything amazing. I was happy with the expanding hose and the multi spray head worked fine. However, the hose leaked on one of the joins since the start but again I could live with it and couldn't be bothered to contact seller for replacement. Bad idea as now, less than 2 months from purchase with only light use, the handle part is completely broken so can't spray and has gone in the bin. Can't return as the return window is passed. If you want a disposable hose for one off event then this is fine but if you need a hose for general use then I cannot recommend. ## Features - 3X EXPANDING GARDEN HOSE: This expandable hosepipe expands from 16ft to full length of 50ft in a short time under water pressure, watering irrigation garden hose with space-saving design, expands up to 3 times in size with water pressure and returns to normal size after water is turned off. - ANTI-BURST & ANTI LEAKAGE: Expandable garden hose is made of safety and reliability quality material on market avoid hose pipe bursting, leaking, high quality material ensure the hose a longer working life. - FLEXIBLE GARDEN HOSE WITH COMPACT DESIGN: Light and Space Saving.
