They are definitely a little brighter and fit perfectly in the work lights but don't produce any of the heat of the others. Lights up an entire room well so you can see everything you need to, however they cannot be dimmed at all. If you set them to a dim setting on the work lights they flicker really bad. Almost a strobe effect. Replacement was easy. Unfortunately the wattage of these bulbs is only 20 so they’re not as bright as I need them to be. They are installed in a telescopic light stand that I use in my shop for close up lighting. They actually work ok but need to be about twice as bright for my application. I wish there was a 100 watt replacement for these halogen bulbs but haven’t seen one. So if ya don’t require really bright light - they work.
