To my surprise they were even more real looking when we got them than in the picture which was great. They are soft (not slimy) and even almost real. The boys loved them and laughed while I was OMG gross because of it. There was a odor (not poop smelling) with them when we opened but after airing out for about 4 hours it was gone. With the different types you get it is great for several jokes and can be used again. You can wipe them off easy too. Not good for little kids as they could choke, or swallow so use with caution and appropriately.
