The Travel Select Amsterdam 21-Inch Softside Carry-On Luggage is made of superior two-tone polyester. It’s FAA-approved. It fits in the overhead compartment perfectly. It measures 21” H x 13” W x 7.5” D. Its roomy compartment and expansion feature allow you to pack more. The interior is fully-lined and has a zippered mesh pocket and shoes pockets. The push-button locking handle allows you to navigate with ease and comfort.

I am a Toastmaster and the bag has to carry my tail-coat, trousers, shirt and waistcoat, plus my other essential items of kit. Once I worked out how to pack the items, to minimize the creasing, so far the bag has coped. I use the bag a couple of times a week, most of the time wheeling it, unless I have to carry it up and down the stairs . I also think is is good value for money, compared to other garment bags on wheels at twice the price.

**Q: Dose United allow this garment Bag as carry on and fit on overhead locker/compartment yes or no.**
A: NO! they do not. TSA stopped me before I even got to the gate.

**Q: Would this be considered free at baggage check for Southwest airlines?**
A: Domestic size and weight limitations for most airlines are a maximum of 62" when you add total height (including wheels), width, and depth.  Also a maximum weight of 50 pounds.  All airlines will surcharge for oversize bags when this exceeded.  This specific bag must be checked and is never approved for carry on.

Southwest, specifically, has a 2 free checked bags policy as long as you comply with the above limitations.

Most, if not all, other airlines charge for all checked bags unless you are a priority rwards member or using their branded credit card.  As an example, I am a million miler/Silver Medallion level with Delta.  This gets me one free checked bag, second bag is the normal $35. 

Bag fees with other airlines usually start at $25 for the first bag, $35 for the second bag.  Third bag and higher can be in the hundreds of dollars. 

Baggage fees and limitations can vary greatly from one airline to another and between destinations.  Also, based upon you frequent flier status with that airline and whether or not you have an airline branded credit card for the line you're flying.  ALWAYS check your specific airlines policy before booking travel.

**Q: Can this be used as a carry-on for American Airlines?**
A: My husband has used it as a carry on many many times but has also been denied 5 times or so and forced to check it. (He travels for work)
