I bought it to make the Dubai Chocolate (of course). Personally, I thought it was the perfect size bag for a “trail run” of making Dubai Chocolate. The molds I got are on the smaller side so I didn’t use all of the kataifi mixture, but it was surely more than enough. I got 3 bars made, I probably used 1/4 to about 1/2 of the bag. So I have a lot left over yet, and can probably make 3-4 more bars! The kataifi itself was really good, nice and crunchy which I assume that means it’s fresh. I think it was a reasonable price considering it’s not common in the US (at least where I’m from). Toasting it up on the stove with some butter was super easy, only took like 5 minutes! It added a nice toasted flavor. I overall and pleased with this purchase and definitely recommend buying! The only thing I’ll say is, if you’re expecting a BIG bag of kataifi this is not what you want lol, but it contains a decent amount to get you a few bars! I would have added a picture but I was too excited when I got it and forgot to take one lol. But it’s already cut up. *by K***N on 12 December 2024* It came packaged wonderfully - in a box, plastic sealed, inside was a ziploc bag about half full of the product. It seemed like a very small amount to me. I was using it to make Dubai Chocolate - and I was able to make 6 bars with 3/4s of the bag. It comes already cut up/crushed. It isn’t in a small brick like I’ve seen all of the others which is okay - less work for me! If you want to make Dubai Chocolate, I suggest getting it. It’s already cut up, it’s crushed essentially, so you don’t have to worry about cutting it up yourself, and it’s much easier to measure. The taste was great - it tasted just as it should. And the quality of the product really helped make the bars shine. They were SO crunchy!
