Always a fiddly job but the fittings provided are as good as any I've used and better than most (it includes metal washers and nuts, an insert to support the rod through the oversize hole in the toilet pan, a key to make running the nut up the insanely long threaded bolt easy etc.) The seat itself is heavy and solid and the soft close works fine. There's no sign that the plastic coating would be able to peel away like the photo in one of the earlier reviews because there are no seams.
