A: I don't believe it is possible to find any cocoa powder that doesn't contain some cadmium, as it is a naturally occuring component of all soils. However, most all the research I read said Valrhona is one of the powders with the least amount.

**Q: Is this worth the premium?**
A: The difference between this and Hershey's cocoa powder is night and day. Valrhona has an intense, full bodied flavor. Just from the aroma alone you can tell it is good.

**Q: Is this fair trade?**
A: I read the label and see nothing about it being Fair Trade.

**Q: Gluten free?**
A: I believe so, bit not 100% sure.
