I use it on my dag for a skin problem and it works. It can take up to two weeks to see the positive results. Be sure to get the HC1% in the pink bottle. There is a HC 0.5% in a purple bottle, which depending on your issue may also work, but the HC1% is definitely more affective. If all else fails take your animal to the vet. **Q: Someone said on here that you now receive a purple tube with only .05% hydrocorizone. For each leg, I put a pea-sized dot on the sandwich bag near my fingertips. I just rub the cream into my dog's leg and then sit with him for several minutes to be sure that he doesn't lick the cream off.
