The length was just right but I had to trim the sides as they were a bit wider than the shoes. In order to fit my feet in with the insoles in I find it is necessary to remove the insoles provided in the shoes. Some of these seemed to be stuck down but came out easily with a little persuasion. These insoles cup my heels and stop them sliding about, the arch support is nice and firm and the metatarsal pad works well for my dodgy foot. Note that if the insole doesn't quite fit the shoe you should be very careful about trimming it. I ruined my first pair by assuming they didn't fit because they were too long. In fact they were just a little bit wide. I cut too much off the end and they ended up uncomfortably short.
