The package recommends 300 grams of ground chicken or other meat of your choice. I'm not sure how much 300 grams is but I used 1 packet for about 1 pound of ground chicken and it was perfect. It's super easy to make. Saute your meat in 1/4 cup of water (Look Ma! No fat!), then once it's cooked add the spice packet. Let it incorporate and then season to taste with fish sauce. Fish sauce can be very strong and funky so start out with a 1/4 teaspoon and work your way up to your preferred taste. I used 1 teaspoon for my 1 pound of chicken and it was great!. Laab is a great spicy, tart, protein for those who are on a low carb diet. It's also a heart-healthy, low-fat dish for those who are watching their weight. You can use this mix on thinly sliced beef (You'll see this listed as 'Beef Salad' sometimes in Thai restaurants), but it would also be good with ground pork.
