Review: Good quality non-staining Nuru massage gel. - Nuru massage is more of a sensual full body style massage with a lot of body on body contact and this gel offers a great lubrication that doesn't stain you or your towels and sheets. It is not ready out of the bottle and shouldn't be used like regular massage oil where you just squirt some on and start rubbing. Think of it as a concentrate that you dilute to a preferred consistency before the massage. So this 16.9oz bottle is much much more gel in use and goes a long way. I'd say 2:1 water:gel was a good ratio that the gel absorbed up and still provided a good hydration and lubrication. A couple things to note when using this gel is if it feels sticky instead of slick you should add more water. You should also apply it to moistened skin and not dry as it will pull moisture from the gel and make it stickier. So a misting spray bottle with some water is pretty handy. It will slowly absorb into the skin but with adding water and sweat it will lubricate for a good while before needing to reapply more. Don't try to wash it all off at once after use.
