The silicone lid insert quickly pops in and out and everything is dishwasher safe. I’ve run this through the dishwasher 5 nights a week for the last year without issue. I love that the lid is connected so there’s nothing to go missing at school and it’s easy to close for my relatively young kiddo. The lid is tight and secure and nothing leaks. I often send a “wet” fruit like watermelon on one side and a dry snack like crackers on the other. I’ve never had an issue with leaking between compartments. I can find no fault with this container. I like it so much that I’ve ordered a second one to send in her lunchbox when I pack a thermos. It’s the perfect size to send a couple of sides along with a hot entree in a thermos. Perhaps the biggest endorsement of this container is that her teacher emailed me wanting the details so she can order one for her kiddo.
