A: There is no timer.But when the water flow stops, the gas shuts off, and when the water flows,it fires back up.

**Q: Can this be installed horizontally?**
A: No, it cannot be installed horizontally. It's set up so that the burners heat the coils above.

**Q: Does this need a cover for when it rains?**
A: Designed for portable outdoor use. It is splash-proof and can manage a little drizzle, however, prolonged exposure to rain/water will damage the internal components. We recommend using and storing your water heater in a dry place.

### ⭐ Stopped working after a month

The heater worked great for about a month. Now I have to turn the water pressure to the absolute lowest setting just to get the temp to 100F. When I turn the water pressure up to anything useful for a shower the temp won't get above 84 degrees. Also, the middle dial does absolutely nothing and is actually backwards(the last month ir so we have 100+ degree days so you assume you should use the knob turned to the sun but that won't hear the water at all so I have to turn it to the snowflake which should be for when it's cold outside but the inlet water is easily 75 degrees but I still have to have it on the snowflake). So yeah, this heater is totally useless unless you want 15psi or 80 degree water(neither is useful for showering). Very unhappy with this purchase I can no longer return smh
