Brought 3 Controllers back from the dead. *by J***F on 30 December 2024* I had (3) PS3 controllers that were only playable if connected with USB and only lasted about 5 minutes on battery power. I did see the reviews about the casing not being accurate at 1800mah and it being deceitful. Honestly, for the price of 3 batteries and the 30 mins it took me to swap out all three, it doesn't really matter. They all 3 charged and are working. It remains to be seen if the battery quality of life is gonna be any good, but for now, I can say they worked. Like others mentioned, please be mindful of the reset button and the orientation of the spacers between the L and R buttons. Youtube is your friend. The batteries fit just fine on the larger plastic base, I removed the smaller white one that the original battery was on. I applied a very small dab of super glue to one of the corners just to hold the battery in place while I put the control back together.
