Review: Good value, lightweight and effective - Very compact filament dryer. So far I have used it for ePLA and TPU spools while printing. Nice and lightweight so it sits on the top of the printer currently on a small custom printed plate (though it will be moved to a shelf soon). Recommended for those printers that do not have an AMS type changer system and want a good way to keep their filaments in good condition while they are printing.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does this come with an UK plug ?**
A: Yes it does.

**Q: Will this dry a badly moisture absorbed Tpu roll ?**
A: The box may in time dry out the material, but it will only stay on for I think 5 hrs. Your best bet would be to put it into a oven at about 6o to 70C for 8 hrs. Then you could use the box to keep it dry when you are printing that works for me.

**Q: How do you work out humidity?**
A: With pla it will be brittle and snap easily if it’s dry it will just bend

**Q: Can anyone tell me the maximum width of a spool that this can hold? Or if a Prusament spool will fit inside?**
A: The max size is the width of a 1kg spool, atleast thests the biggest I've put into it and that's quite snug

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very simple device with some weaknesses, but good enough for the price.

It's a very simple device that generally does what it's supposed to. You put the filament inside, turn it on, it heats up. A small fan circulates the air for more even heating. The manual is very sparse and doesn't really match what the buttons are actually doing. The QR code link to the full manual is broken. With a little experimentation I figured out how to use it (you have to hold the buttons to enter settings), but needless to say a manual that actually matches the product would be nice. One fundamental problem with how the device works is that there is no way for moist air to escape. You have to open and close it every 1-2 hours during operation to exchange the air. Otherwise you will just have hot moist air inside. I was still able to dry my PLA filament and achieved a noticeable decrease in stringing, so it does work. I'm only deducting 1 star for the downsides because the device is very cheap after all.
