At this price-point, I am not expecting a high-quality silk scarf! if I wanted one for a formal/special occasion I would pay quite a lot more. They should be washed by hand, cold water. I have to admit I did throw them in the laundry on delicate, cold water and don't seem to be worse for the wear. But I'm sure they will last longer if I hand-wash.
