I did but extra pebbles for a more compete look. The fountain sounds is soothing. It doesn't have an on/ off switch so I connected it with a Google plug and that works great!! It's on my bedroom so not many people see it but those that do, love it. The cat is very calmed by the sound and lays down next to it often. I don't have it on all the time but I refill the water about every 3 weeks. I don't wait till it is low as it will make loud unpleasant splashing sounds. Im pleased with this purchase. I've had for 3 months so far. I wanted to wait a bit before I made a review. I recommend.
