I like the feature "return to home" the most since it reliably comes back if it looses connection or is low on battery.The video is crappy, lots of jello-ing if you are flying (better if you sit in the air in place). Photo quality is "alright" but dont let the 1080p fool you - the photos will come out less sharp than from a 1080p digital camera.Flight time was about 10 minutes for me. The most annoying thing is that you have to do all these connection and calibration procedures at the start, even if you just change to a new battery.I tried using it with a wifi extender but never could make it work because the instructions were very bad and then having to set either the wifi or Bluetooth.... It was confusing and I didnt know what to push in the settings. Considering you have to be somewhat fast to do all this at the start (because your drone has to be turned on for the starting procedure), you are loosing valuable time fiddling in the settings while your battery lasts only about 10 minutes. Without the wifi extender, the drone tends to loose connectivity in the air (and returns automatically home) and generally can't fly too far or too high, like others do.I used this drone about 10 times before one day I started it and it hovered about 5 feet off the ground and then lost one engine and fell to the ground. It bend one propeller a bit. I took it apart and one engine seem to be bad. So for $15 I am buying 4 replacement engines now and hope that this is really the problem. Otherwise it's a very expensive but useless toy. I am a middle-aged adult and had lots and lots of fun flying this though... Until it crashed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Drone for Beginners *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2018* This is a great drone for a beginner which comes with everything you need to fly. In the box is a charging cable, battery for the drone (remote requires 4 AAA batteries not included), an extra set of 4 propellers, propeller guards with screws, a mini screw driver and easy to read instructions.The remote controller is lightweight enough that is comfortable to hold and all of the buttons and sticks feel responsive. The clip that holds a phone was a bit tight for my Galaxy S8 with and Otterbox Defender but did fit.In order to use a phone with the remote you must download the X-Hubsan app which is free but it a little bit of a pain to get paired with your phone. Without going into every detail, it is a 2 step process of pairing your phone to the remote via Bluetooth and your phone to the drone via wifi. Expect this process to take a little time depending on your comfort level with connecting devices. Once your are initially setup the process is complete and is much faster when you decide to fly again.In terms of flying the drone, this drone takes off very smoothly without going up to quickly, hovers very well and does not fly so fast that it is scary for someone who is new to flying. You feel like your in control with a little practice. Responsiveness to the remote is very good without being overly sensitive.The return to home which is wherever you launch the drone from is decent to within several feet but do not except it to land exactly where you launched it.Lastly, the camera works reasonably well for the price point of this drone. It's not nearly the best available but at a price point of a little over $100 there really isn't anything worth complaining about. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars Directions are weak at best.
