The nostalgia of the past to the adventure of the new. All throughout, love in all it's forms is there. I tried a some recipes again and it was comforting and delicious. I have not tried all of them as some require more work. And that's ok. All cuisines have some easier recipes and some that require more time. I like that he was worked hard on the instructions to be as clear as he can. Perhaps the author is really striving for the reader to experience the flavors he experiences since he cannot cook for everyone. It's the family recipes that I love here. I feel like I'm eating lifetimes of stories with each bite. Recently I discovered there is some Irish ancestry in my Filipino heritage. So I picked up the book again and now learning to explore the diversity of my past through food. I will be cooking more from this book. Not only does one get lots of great Irish recipes, tales of the author's childhood in Ireland are interspersed among them. The photographs are beautiful and entice the reader to make the recipes.
