Yes, it is made in China, but it is definitely conceived by Germans (I am an engineer myself, and it has been awhile since I held a device so human-friendly and so well made). Really easy to use. You can: make it follow "day" (usually higher) temperature constantly; make it follow "night" (usually lower) temperature constantly; dance in between them according to time schedule; make it follow arbitrary temperature by rotating big volume-like knob; make it protect your house from freezing - all of it with a simple slider selector and a large knob you can rotate like a volume knob on the amplifier. No problems with wireless connection. You can also adjust how it follows temperature - Fast/Slow PID, +/- 0.5 and +/- 0.25 degrees. I went for +/- 0.5 degrees, since I hate when boiler turns on and off 100 times per hour - it is really bad for it. Default setting is Slow PID, which would be OK for most folks. The only thing I didn't like is that I had to bend connecting wires at 90 degrees very close to the case of the thermostat when I installed the wired part of it on the wall. My wires were single-core (old house, rented), and they weren't too happy about a bend so sharp. Otherwise, definitely recommend - well made and easy to use. Works flawlessly.
