Having an area with plaster ceilings caused a bit of plaster breakage around the grommet. That's not a problem with this unit. Just be careful if you're cutting a hole. I used a hole saw, but in a 60-year-old home, things can end up not as intended. I am well accustomed with that. I am super pleased with this and will, buy it again should the need arise.
