I have an oil pan with an exhaust pipe that's too close for comfort.** A: It should stick well, but you'd be better off using something to insulate the heat from the exhaust than trying to reflect the heat away from the pan. Fiberglass wrap is meant to keep the heat from hot exhaust in your exhaust system. This tape is meant to reflect heat from components you want keep cool. **Q: I see silver tape burn exhaust heat, i wrap exhaust part w exhaust wrap n wnt 2 put gold tape on heatshield will it burn?** A: Where is the heat shield located it may hold up if it's not too hot **Q: Will this stick to a silicone inlet? Or is it only for use on metal inlets?** A: I’ve used it on plastic and metal but not silicone. It might work for you but why not go with a high temp silicone hose? **Q: I have a mk6 gti would this stick to the fire wall?** A: I personally think it will but you need to clean it and prep it really well. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sporacingrts 2" x 29.5 feet (9M) Gold Adhesive Heat Shield ReflectiveTape Wrap Roll Compatible with Car Intake Pipe, Engine Bay etc. - BBTO Heat Reflective Sheet Adhesive Backed Aluminized Fiberglass Heat Shield Tape Protection Barrier Resistant Material for Hose and Auto Use Insulation Sheet(Gold, 24 x 48 Inch) - SunplusTrade 2" x 50' Black Exhaust Heat Wrap Roll for Motorcycle Fiberglass Heat Shield Tape with Stainless Ties --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/70171419-sporacingrts-2-x-29-5-feet-9m-gold-adhesive-heat](https://www.desertcart.us/products/70171419-sporacingrts-2-x-29-5-feet-9m-gold-adhesive-heat) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
