Who leaves bike outside or rides in rain? bad ideaalso, doesn't fit bottle cage points. well, it does, but unless they are mounted high, like near the top of the tube, about 9" from the top, the position will be wrong ### ⭐⭐ The battery does not slide on or off the attachment very well. *by L***R on January 20, 2020* I have yet to properly full test the duration of the battery and it's longevity with my 500W-1000W motor.However I noticed the vibrations from the ride were causing the battery to disconnect ever so slightly from the base.It does need to be 100% snug in order for it to continue operation.Also the plastic on the base seemed a bit warped for some reason, and it wouldn't slide on or off very easily, it required both hands and a decent amount of force to get it to slide into position to properly connect to the base and also to remove it when it was not locked.The base also wasn't fully rigid, it had some flexion and bend to it, which per the other shoddy tolerances, seems is a requirement in order for the battery to sit and slide properly into position. (If you mount this, make sure the base attachment is fully flat and doesn't have any flex whatsoever, or the battery will not slide into the base correctly. And if it does slide in correctly, it will still be a very tight fit. Unless I received a defective Battery Case that is uniquely warped, however, I'd have my doubts).They should include an option to have the battery be mountable without the sliding base, so the cable from the battery base should be able to attach directly to the battery instead without the use of the Base/attachment.That way you could have the battery placed into a removable pack or pannier, and then you'd only have to disconnect the power cable to safely remove it and bring it with you inside (since it is not waterproof).The connection between the Base and the Battery is INSANELY tight/snug. I think something happened and it's warped from either heat or something else.It also seems like the sliding metal sliders for the base aren't 100% machined to the best dimensions, as they stick out slightly too much, and they have such minimal tolerances within the areas to place bolts, that you'd most likely have to shave any bolts down for it to not scrape against the plastic bottom of the battery itself. (Further complicating the battery base issues).They should include a Rain Cover or something as well with a hole for the battery cable, as again this is not waterproof.I may update this review, once I've been able to test it's batteries and longevity, however the base attachment being seemingly warped or having poor tolerances.
