The only caveat is that as a backpack, it feels a bit uncomfortable due to the lack of heavy padding for the "cap" portion of the bag, but that is understandable. They are perfect for separating my shoes and toiletries from my clothes. In the bigger side pocket I have been able to fit a pair of hiking boots (size 7.5w/5.5mens) and chacos, if you have feet on the larger side you could probably fit one pair of boots or two pairs of regular shoes. In the smaller side pocket I can fit a mid sized toiletry bag. I even took this bag to europe and used a two bag toiletry system. One 311 compatible bag, and one small dry toiletry bag. It worked great! My only con is that the hand straps are a little too short to use as a shoulder strap, and as a backpack it’s not very comfortable.
