These are really the perfect skates, except for the fact that they will only last a few months at most. My 6 year old reports that they're comfortable enough, and she does really love the way they look. As a parent, I count this as a total win considering they were only $30. Unfortunately the wheels started looking worn after just wearing them in the house for an hour, and the stripes around the sides were loose and fell off the first day. I'll try gluing them when I get over the disappointment. These are great beginner skates--the wheels are not very fast at all. The canvas sneaker is of high quality and we received two additional shoes strings (white and aqua green).
