The instructions are printed on the inside of the box lid so the instructions aren't as easy to see as if they had been in booklet form like LEGO. Pieces snap together well. There was one piece with thin edge that broke off during assembly but because it was in the area of the "damage" on the Death Star it's not easy to see where the part broke.
