I am keeping it in reserve in case my main piece suffers a failure of zipper or wheel. Good value for money; a compromise between a duffel type Cotopaxi, Osprey, Eagle Creek vs a rigid hard-sided “Rimowa” or “Monos” type. This Pelikan comes in several dimensions: this one fits a normal airline overhead compartment.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What you would expect from Pelican

This is about as high-quality a case as air-line luggage comes. The GOOD: The construction is extremely high-quality, with strong zippers, extra double straps offering support across the centre of the bag, solid metal rods that are built tightly into the back, and a soft but rigidly firm fabric that reminds me of kevlar. I imagine this bag could take a beating and survive even the wrath of the TSA. And on that note, this bag is actually 22 Inches INCLUDING the wheels, because the designers recessed the wheels just behind the body. This thumbs its nose at picky airline restrictions, and at the same time protects the wheels. The BAD: Well, there isn't much to complain about here, but if there were one problem it would have to be the semi-soft sides. While the top is one solid piece, and the back is a rigid shell, the sides have a slight give to them. Don't get me wrong, they're still stronger than any other brand of luggage, with their little ABS shells that shatter when you look at them the wrong way. But I use mostly Pelican luggage, and I can attest that this little bag isn't quite as strong or crush resistant as a full-sized Pelican Air might be.
