Review: Love, love, love - I bought three of these planters in different sizes for our desert backyard. They were extremely easy to put together. The solution they suggest takes FOREVER to rust them, so we went to youtube and found a video of a different method that worked wonders. You can easily search for the solution on there. Once rusted they really made our backyard look like a magazine. They have held up well in the sun and heat. They are heavy and sturdy. They do soak up heat so I keep aloes and plants that can tolerate the heat in them.
Review: This is a cool design, square and upright. - I like the size of this planter. It will really set off the green foliage once I have planted. I am using the winter to allow for the rusting process to 'cure'. I will then seal the outside. I don't really want the rust to stain the new concrete that was just poured. It'll be amazing when this summer comes and the hints of the orange rust offset the rich greens of the plants. One negative comment is that these were more difficult to assemble, given the tight space in which the bolts/nuts had to be inserted. But it came out beautiful.

**Q: Does this planter cause rust stains on your patio or deck?**
A: Yes. Rust stains will definitely occur. If you can place the planters in an area where the stains won’t bother you then they are definitely worth it. The rust will start as soon as they are exposed to the elements.

**Q: Planting water iris and circulation pump so water will the constantly very slowly flow over the sides. Will this erode the rust?**
A: If anything it will only add character and possibly form different color patterns where the water streams down the sides. It won’t harm the metal.

**Q: How thick are the walls and what does to bottom surface look like?**
A: the walls are 16 gauge metal thickness and the bottom has slightly protruded feet to promote soil aeration

**Q: The interior is square. Is it best to insert another square plastic container inside the metal structure to fill it up with soil and plants?**
A: We provide a removable insert shelf so you will not need to fill the whole planter with soil, but you are free to use a container within the planter if you wish to do so!

Great product .. Allan key was not really appropriate in sizing.. and you do need nimble fingers.. but definitely worth it so far.. let’s see how it winters!
