It is reasonably quiet and has shock absorbing feet to reduce vibration. Even so, I wouldn't keep it on the same surface as the laser bed. It also has what appears to be a tripod mount on the bottom which I find curious. The included manual is brief to be kind. It's basically just a parts list and a 1 item FAQ about the air filter (it comes with 3 total). It is inexpensive and does what it is supposed to do.
