To help things along, I ordered this tape and instantly the quality of my sewing improved considerably. The double-sided tape keeps the fabric from shifting, allowing me to concentrate on making even stitches. It is so thin, it doesn't seem to interfere with the needle and thread. It just does its job and holds the fabric pieces in place. It is especially helpful when you have several pieces of fabric all coming together, such as the corners of a pack, plus a pocket, plus webbing loops all overlapping together in a single seam. The only downside here is that the tape doesn't always stick as well as I would like, but I won't deduct a star because I think it's about right (If it were stickier, it would hold the fabric more securely, perhaps, but it would likely also snag the needle or thread and create problems). When sewing fabric like nylon Cordura, the tape also sticks noticeably better to the "wrong" (PU coated) side than to the brighter/shinier "right" side of the fabric. If you're a novice sewer, or you are sewing complex items made from multiple layers of fabric (such as a pack), I really recommend this tape. It lives up to its "Wonder Tape" name. The product will now adhere. 2) Having trouble getting the adhesive to come off the backing? Use the tip of your scissors or a pin to lift one corner and then you can peel the rest off easily. Im happy I found this product. I took up four pair of Yoga pants in no time! Used a twin needle and the results are fantastic! Nice hems, no wavy bottoms. Now im going to take up a couple pair of regular pants using this product. I won’t need to use pins. I’ll buy this again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for holding hems or trims while you sew *by E***T on March 26, 2018* This is some of the coolest stuff I have to help me sew. I often have to apply long lengths of trim to fabric and this tape is awesome. It sticks the trim firmly to the fabric so that it doesn't creep or stretch while I'm sewing, no puckering or wandering. I mark straight lines on the fabric with a Frixion marker or pen, lay the tape sticky side down next to the line and then burnish the paper back of the tape rather hard with a smooth tool, like my scissors handle or a stainless burnisher. It can be tricky to get the paper peeled off of the sticky part - it's the only bad thing about it. I usually just lift one end and use a pin and my fingernails to pry the sticky stuff away from the tape. Once you get it started, it's easy to pull the tape to the side and away from the starting point. Don't pull up, or the sticky part can come unstuck from your fabric. Then I lay the trim onto the exposed sticky stuff, rearrange it until it's straight and then I can press it with a steam iron and let it cool. It holds well enough to get both sides of the trim sewn down. It doesn't gum up my needle, either.
