Nor does it come with a case. **Q: Can both probes touch a metal pipe and not cause interference???? Some probes bulb-ends are electrically isolated.....are these?????** A: Fluke thermocouple probes are not electrically insulated, so if there's a charge on the metal pipe we don't advise using our probes. **Q: The included Type K probe measures from -40 to 260 C, or is it -200 to 1372 C as the chart above shows?** A: I know this in an old question, but answer from John is a bit misleading. The chart indicates what range the Fluke 51-2 supports with each type of probe, with -200 to +1372 C being the range supported by the meter when used with the "K" type thermocouples. The included "bead" style thermocouple is only rated for -40 to +260 C. Above or below that range that particular probe wouldn't read correctly, and would possibly be damaged. It is not a limitation of the Fluke meter, or the K type probes in general, just that particular one. There are K type thermocouples rated for a larger range, but they are sold separately. **Q: Is it possible to use Cooper-Atkins 50306-K probe with the fluke thermocouple thermometer?** A: The Cooper-Atkins 50306-K has a standard mini-male plug, so it is compatible with the Fluke 52-2. I purchased 5 different ones in just slightly over a weeks time and returned all besides this one. I figured if I was going to spend $200+ I might as well have the cream of the crop. The Fluke 52-2 works perfect. The temps update quickly and this thing is very rugged. I have dropped it once or twice and it didn't even leave a mark.
