It has the great Casio durability and has withstood some serious abuse while looking basically brand new. I DID make a makeshift screen protector with packing tape which took a couple minutes, and now it's basically invulnerable. The water resistance is fantastic and the band isn't uncomfortable when drying. It also has a really smart anti-odor nylon band which works really well. It's easy to wash but never gets gross in the first place. (I've tried replacing the band and have returned to the original band every time too). Backlight is fine. I love the orange. Better than average for a Casio since it has multiple (two) LEDs, but not quite as good as their EL backlight. I absolutely love this watch and this color combination is uncommon. This is my first casio royale and definitely not my last one. Took one star because I feel like the pushers are a bit sensitive. I work in forestry and sometimes I bump my world time button and it switch the time on me. The solution is to put all 4 time zone at your home time.
